How to Register as a Trainer

Thank you for deciding to become a Trainer in NHS Forth Valley.

In order to be registered as a trainer you have to:

1. Have attended a Train the Trainer course (or equivalent)
2. Have up to date Equality and Diversity Training
3. Have time agreed in your job plan (0.25 SPA per trainee/medical student)

Once completed please return this to the postgraduate medical education office at: fv.postgraduatemedicaleducation@nhs.scot

Your from will be signed off by the Director of Medical Education. Your form will then be forwarded to NES recommending you to be recognised for as a Trainer. If they are happy with the evidence submitted they will add you to Turas as a recognised supervisor.

If you are joining us from another Health Board where you have previously been a Trainer please note this on your registration form so that we can alert NES to the fact that you have changed Health Boards.
