Each year foundation residents are required to demonstrate that they have achieved the foundation programme outcomes and are competent to progress into life beyond FY1/2. The Scotland Deanery website outlines these requirements clearly; please note these differ slightly between FY1 and FY2.
In addition to portfolio completion, all residents must demonstrate30 hours of formal teaching (FY2 All-Day Study Days/FY1 Thursday lectures) plus 30 hours of informal teaching (dept meetings, grand rounds, ad hoc sessions). It is strongly recommended that you keep your own record of this in addition to that kept by the PG office.
