FY1 doctor teaching takes place on Thursdays in the education centre between 1200-1300. These teaching sessions are bleep free, protected time (with the exception of cardiac arrest pages). The post-graduate office will hold all bleeps whilst you are at teaching.
A range of topics will be covered including:
- Palliative medicine
- Clinical medicine and surgery
- Ethics (in conjunction with BMA)
- Legal requirements (in conjunction with medical defence companies)
- Radiology
- Acute scenarios
The teaching timetable is reasonably flexible so please email fv.postgraduatemedicaleducation@nhs.scot if there are specific topics you would like covered.
A draft timetable will be posted in due course, with weekly reminders emailed to trainees.
